About us

Our Story

At Soothr LIC, we bring the vibrant spirit of Yaowarat, Bangkok’s Chinatown, to Long Island City. Rooted in the belief that inclusivity is community, we celebrate the energy, diversity, and shared table culture that define one of Bangkok’s most iconic neighborhoods.

Recognized as a best Thai restaurant in Long Island City, Soothr LIC is a place where everyone is welcome, friends, families, and even your furry companions. As a family-friendly Thai restaurant in LIC with pet-friendly outdoor dining, we create a space where guests can gather, connect, and feel at home.

Our menu honors the bold, comforting flavors of Thailand, from our beloved Thai noodles in Long Island City to signature dishes like Bangkok Thai chicken rice, inspired by the street food traditions of Yaowarat. Every dish is crafted to reflect both authenticity and approachability, bringing the essence of Bangkok to Queens.

More than just a restaurant, Soothr LIC is a community table, where cultures meet, stories are shared, and everyone has a seat with splendid time.

A-Mei brings with her recipes that have been lovingly passed down by her cherished sister, J'Hong, @soothr_nyc but she adds her own twist-playful, unexpected, and full of life-just like her. Long Island City has never seen anything quite like this before: a place where plates dance to the rhythm of flavor, laughter resonates through the air, and every bite feels like part of a grand performance.

Here, guests won't just enjoy the food-they'll immerse themselves in an unforgettable atmosphere that NYC has never unveiled before. She's more than a muse-A-Mei is the soul of the party, the queen of surprises, and the host of a never-ending night that NYC never knew it needed.

Stay tuned to discover what A-Mei has up her sleeve-you'll want to be part of the excitement!

Soothr Long Island City

Soothr LIC draws inspiration from the bustling heart of Bangkok's Yaowarat Chinatown, bringing it to life with greater depth and dimension. Where the East Village location captured the charm of a hidden alley, the new location in Long Island City will unfold an immersive journey through the many facets of Chinatown life.

By day, guests can wander into a homey tea house, steeped in comfort and tradition, or find solace in a serene garden—a peaceful retreat amid the urban sprawl. By night, the ambiance evolves. A nostalgic jazz club, brimming with classic melodies, evokes the golden age of Chinatown nightlife, while a majestic private banquet room offers an elegant space for gatherings that blend the old with the new in timeless fashion.

Soothr LIC will be a celebration of Yaowarat from sunrise to moonlight—a historical neighborhood reimagined, where tradition and modernity intertwine seamlessly.
